She will make sure you reach your goals and she is always just one question away. She truly has a heart of gold and I am forever grateful for her and her commitment to the women in the program. So let’s get into it and bust some Primal Bod myths and tackle objections that people have when they are thinking of joining the Primal Bod program.
Objection #1: “I Don’t Have Time for a New Diet”
Then you’ll soon need to make time for all your doctor’s appointments and medical treatments.
Life is busy, and making time for a new approach can feel overwhelming. Especially if you have tried other diets before and they didn’t work. Taking in all the information Candi shares on Instagram feels like a lot and may confuse you at times.
What I love about the Primal Bod Program is that it’s designed with simplicity in mind. It is super simple to follow. It may feel time-consuming at first because it will kick you out of your comfort zone and out of your habitual way of eating and living. Objection #2: “The Primal Bod Program Is Too Expensive”
Just wait and see what your return on investment will be, you cannot put a price tag on your Ferrari body and on your health.
I am always making sure to spend my money wisely and I do a lot of research before deciding on any investment. When I came across Candi on Instagram, the Primal Bod program was only a few months old and there were no reviews to be found. That is one of the main reasons why I have started this website so other women can find more information on Primal Bod and actual experience of what it is like to go through the program.
Primal Bod was a big investment for me and I thought long before I decided to invest. You can read more about my decision process in my personal Primal Bod review. Of course, there is always risk involved when you don’t know 100% what you are getting in return for your investment. I will tell you what I got for my investment.
I lost 17.5 pounds (8kg) in 6 weeks. Candi promises that you can lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks or less if you have to lose it. The average weight loss over the 12 weeks is 29 lbs (of women who had at least 20 lbs to lose).
I joined for the weight loss but I got SO MUCH MORE. Overall, I got peace. Peace of knowing that I will never need to join another program because the Primal Bod program teaches you the optimal human diet, the diet the human body requires and thrives on. In the end, the weight loss is the cherry on the cake, or better said the butter on the steak :)
I was able to free myself from emotional eating and in the process of the 12 weeks and still going strong, I now enjoy better sleep, no aches or pains, fuller hair, glowing skin, no energy dips, better vision, and the list goes on. I was able to cancel my gym and pilates memberships because the Primal Bod program will teach you the optimal form of exercise that gives you maximum results with least commitment of time and effort. There is nothing wrong with going to the gym, I just personally prefer to do all my workouts outside in nature now. I also save on all those supplements I used to buy because I now get all my nutrients from my food, no need to supplement. In some cases, Candi may recommend certain supplements if you’d ask her but there is basically only one supplement she says you cannot get from diet and lifestyle.
I also know I won’t need to spend money on future doctor’s bills to support me through menopause or chronic diseases. Once you give your body what it truly needs, it will give you health in return.
Objection #3: “I Don’t Want to Give Up My Favorite Foods”
What if your favourite foods are making you sick? And keep the stubborn fat in place?
Change can be hard, especially if it feels like you’re sacrificing foods you love. To this day, I am still in disbelief about the way my eating has changed. Me eating a steak? Unthinkable just a short time ago. It’s not really will power, it’s basically your new body knowing what food is best.
I have no desire to eat the way I did before. One big reason for that is that my gut has been completely renewed through Primal Bod. Gut health is a huge focus in the program. When you crave certain foods, it actually has to do with the types of microbes you have in your gut. Going through the program, you’ll replace sugar-loving bacteria with meat-loving ones. It’s fascinating.
There is one lesson in the Primal Bod program where you will learn about emotional eating. This is a life-changer for many. The Primal Bod diet teaches you to use food as fuel. In the program you learn that it’s more about “eating to live, not living to eat.”
Candi will show you which foods your body actually needs and which so-called healthy foods are standing in your way of reaching your desired physique. You’ll learn about certain vegetables in Week 1 of the program that literally make you sick. Those vegetables were a primary source of my diet before starting Primal Bod and the root of a lot of my pains and ailments. You’ll have a light-bulb moment when you watch that lesson.
Once you understand how food can make you sick, you gladly give up the foods you used to enjoy. I for sure will never go back to my old ways of eating. When following the Primal Bod diet, you just feel too good to trade it for a moment of indulgence, which really is a moment of hurting your body. You cannot unlearn this information once Candi has it all laid out for you.
Objection #4: “I’ve Tried Everything, and Nothing Worked”
It feels like you have tried everything but you haven’t tried Primal Bod ;)
I started following the advice of different people on Youtube and Instagram but I struggled and I wasn’t seeing results. The more I researched the more frustrated I got. Until Candi popped up on my feed and I knew there was something special and true about what she was saying. I am so glad I trusted her and signed up to Primal Bod, it changed the trajectory of my entire life.

I certainly thought I was eating healthy with a good workout routine. I also didn’t eat a lot, so it didn’t make sense at all to me why I wasn’t losing weight, but gaining slowly each month. I didn’t like what I was seeing in the mirror and I wasn’t ready to settle for my perimenopause body.

When you know why you are doing something, it sinks in and it becomes a natural habit.
What I love about Primal Bod is that even if you fall off the wagon during holiday season, vacation or during a difficult time in your life, you know exactly what to do to get back into the Primal Bod lifestyle. You cannot unlearn what you learn in Primal Bod. Candi always says she is teaching you to ride a bike. You’ll fall off but she will tell you exactly what you need to do to get back on. She will cheer you on to keep going. And once you know how to ride the bike, you cannot unlearn it.
I can promise you that you will reach a point where you don’t want to go back to your old ways of eating and living. Primal Bod simply becomes your second nature because it teaches you how to align your body with its natural way of being, the way our ancestral DNA dictates it.
Objection #6: “Isn’t the Primal Lifestyle Too Restrictive?”
Eating all the foods you desire has brought you to where you are right now. Some restriction will actually give you freedom and health.
While the primal lifestyle focuses on nutrient-dense foods, it’s not about deprivation. The program celebrates abundance—rich, satisfying meals that nourish your body and mind. The focus is on adding value to your diet, not just cutting things out.
You have to choose your restrictive. Do you find it restrictive to give up certain foods, or do you find it restrictive to be over-weight and sick. You get to choose.
We have a beautiful walk up to the lighthouse where I live and you need to climb a lot of steps. Before Primal Bod, I needed to take breaks going up and I was completely exhausted once I reached the top. Now, I walk up there wearing my 22 lbs weighted vest and I’m not even feeling slightly fatigued.
Once you give your body all the nutrients it needs and craves, it will thrive. You will feel amazing and the weight will come off. I love that my shopping list is much shorter now and cooking is so much easier. When I think of all the ingredients I used to need for my meals just to cover all the nutrients for my body to be healthy, it’s insane. And I don’t even think I was getting the health I thought I was. “Eat the rainbow,” they say…it didn’t work for me and I felt drained and fatigued all the time. I was aging faster than ever - hello joint pain.
I buy a more limited variety of foods now and at the same time, this food gives my body all it needs. I love it. I also love the ease and simplicity of my diet. I feel like a total gourmet. Less is more, I’m sure of that. You have to ask yourself: Do you want to be healthy or do you want to eat EVERYTHING the supermarket offers you?
What we believe to be health-foods or superfoods are actually harming us. They look good on paper but your body cannot absorb them and even worse, lots of so-called healthy foods are the reason you have certain chronic issues.
The Primal Bod diet and lifestyle may seem restrictive in the beginning (not for me though), but soon you will see that it is actually giving you an abundant life full of energy and health with so much more time for the people and things in your life you love. What may seem like restriction is actually freedom. I feel liberated from all the food cravings I used to have and the Primal Bod diet and lifestyle has given me a peaceful life. One in which I know exactly what to do, no guessing anymore. Candi will make sure you’ll live your best life yet.
Objection #7 “It’s Too Expensive to Eat Primal”
Getting sick is pretty expensive too. Invest in your health now or in your medical bills later.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to break the bank and you start with what you can afford right now. You will soon see that you save money on all the food you are NOT buying anymore.
This is freeing up money that you can invest in the Primal Bod diet. Maybe you can swap eating out for cooking at home more? You can buy bulk to get a better price. And if you cannot afford grass-fed meat, you simply start with grain-fed meat which is still healthier than eating sushi or past. Burger patties are super nutritious, it doesn’t have to be a prime steak cut. You will find solutions and there are a lot of tips from people in the community on how to eat the Primal Bod diet on a budget. A ground beef bowl has actually become one of my favourite meals.
You have to ask yourself: What is your health worth to you? As I mentioned before, I was able to save money in other areas of my life like from not buying supplements anymore or not needing massages for my back pain. You will also be snacking less if at all, so in a way you will probably eat less but more nutrient-dense foods that satiate you and that will stop you from having all these cravings. I understand that it’s hard to grasp what it will be like once you adopt a primal diet, but I promise you that it will make your life easier.
Objection #8 “All the information is on Instagram, I can Just Do It By Myself”

Before I joined the Primal Bod program, I started to implement what I heard Candi say on Instagram and I started following people she recommended. I did lose 8 pounds in those first two weeks and I was elated. My weight loss was proof that what she was teaching DID work and I wanted to know more. I wanted to know and understand the entire process of primal living and what it could do for me beyond those first 8 pounds.
I hear from so many women I talk to that they have all the pieces but missing how to put them together and making a systematic and seamless process out of it. Or they say they are just missing a couple of pieces for it all to make sense or for them to be able to get the results they want.
A lot of people approach me and tell me: “I am doing all the things but I can’t get further, I am missing something.” In this case, they are following a plan but they haven’t understood why they are doing all these things. and how they relate to one another.
